# Edge on foldables and tablets

On an unfolded foldable, an upright tablet or a narrow window, your layout opens as two pages: your lists on one, and what you pick from them, with Sell and Buy, on the other.

## What it is

Edge is built for a desk, where a layout spreads its widgets across a wide screen. On a screen narrower than that, your layout now opens as two pages. One holds the lists you pick from, such as your watchlists. The other holds what follows the row you pick, such as its chart, with **Sell** and **Buy** beneath it.

It is the layout you already made, not a second one to set up. The pages hold the same widgets, and a row you pick on one page drives the other through your link groups, as it does on your computer.

You get the pages on an unfolded foldable, on a tablet held upright, and in a browser window on your computer that is too narrow for the desk.

## How to use it

1. Open Edge on the device, or narrow the browser window on your computer. Your active layout appears as pages. The first time the two pages show side by side, short tips point at them: choose **Got it** to close the tips.

2. On the lists page, tap a row, such as an instrument in a watchlist. The other page follows it: its chart shows that instrument, and so does the bar with **Sell** and **Buy** under it.

3. A page that holds several widgets has tabs along its top, one for each. Tap a tab to bring that widget forward. A page with one widget shows that widget's name instead.

4. Tap **Sell** or **Buy**. When the layout has an Order Ticket in the same link group, it opens as a sheet over the page, for that instrument and that side. Otherwise a smaller order window opens instead. Nothing is sent until you place the order, and the × at the top closes it.

5. When the pages are side by side, one of them can take the whole screen: tap **Use both pages**, the button at the top corner of that page. **Back to two pages** brings both back.

## Good to know

- On an unfolded foldable, or in a window that is wide enough, the two pages sit side by side. On a tablet held upright, or in a narrower window, you see one page at a time at full height: a switch at the top goes between them, and picking a row takes you to the other page.
- While the order sheet is open and the two pages are side by side, the lists page is paused, so a stray tap there does not change the order.
- Folded, a foldable's cover screen is too small for two pages, and Edge says it works better unfolded. Open the phone and your layout appears across the inner screen, or choose **Continue on this screen** to open it there one widget at a time.
- The pages show the layouts you made on your computer. Creating a layout, and arranging and resizing its widgets, stay there.

Screens are from a Demo account. The instruments and prices in them are illustrative.
